Coach Bettina Jones aka Coach Be is the franchise owner for the Denver Dynasty women's pro exposure basketball team. Coach Jones has been involved in basketball for over 20 years at all age levels. She played collegiately via Northwest Mississippi CC and Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. After her collegiate career was over Coach Jones moved to Houston and began volunteering for youth leagues and other events to stay involved in the game. In, 2012 Coach Jones began a youth organization in Houston, TX Called Hands-Down Youth Organization and formed the Houston Groundbreakaz Boys AAU team for players in the inner city often overlooked. Here is where her coaching career began. With surprising success from her peers being one of only 2 women coaching AAU at a high level in the city, Coach Jones was able to help a number of athletes get to college via athletics and/or academics to reach goals set when coming to her program. Some of those players are now part of her training staff with Thy Basketball Realm & Denver Dynasty! The Denver Dynasty offers women athletes the opportunity to continue to play at a high level here in the United States and abroad. Coach Jones' vision is for Dynasty to be that inspiration and bridge for young female athletes to continue to advance in the game of not only basketball but life.
Sasha Kaun
Board Member
Sasha started playing basketball at 16 years of age. He understands the hard work that it takes to catch up and be able to compete. Through dedication and an amazing high school coach that gave everything to developing his athletes, Sasha won a 3A high school state championship and went on to receive a scholarship from the University of Kansas. Sasha played all four years, winning a National Championship with the Jayhawks his senior year. Sasha entered the NBA Draft where his rights were picked up late second round by the Cleveland Cavaliers. As a Russian citizen, he chose to sign with CSKA Moscow where he played professionally for 7 seasons. After a successful European career including 6 trips to the Euroleague Final Four and an Olympic Bronze medal with the Russian Olympic Team, the Cleveland Cavaliers signed Sasha. Sasha won the 2016 NBA Championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but retired following that season due to injury. Starting Evergreen Sports Academy gives Sasha a chance to get back to what he loves and share his knowledge and experience with young athletes.
